I AM GOING BACK ON THE FIELD FOR FOUR MORE MONTHS WITH

THE WORLD RACE AS AN ALUMNI TEAM LEAD JANUARY 2020!!!!

……WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

Something I haven’t shared on my blogs previously, I had been team leading since part of China. Which, in non-WR time measurement, would be about 5.5 months. The majority of my race and at the end of the 11 months, literally HALF of it.

Leadership is one of my spiritual gifts, but I definitely did not know how to use it correctly prior to this year. OOF. Yeah I learned a whole lot of lessons and will STILL be learning.

I made a lot of mistakes, lots of under-communication, lots of other silly things that can just ruin someones day or mood, etc. THANKS FOR GRACE JESUS & T-SQUAD!!!

Around Azerbaijan, my second to last month leading, I finally hit my groove. I found my rhythm in letting Holy Spirit take the reigns and I’m just a mouthpiece. It was so amazing, so much freedom, so many cool moments where I got to chuck all my plans and move out of God’s way. I learned what it truly meant to be a servant leader.

John 15:13, Romans 14:19, & Romans 15:1-9 tell us to lay down our lives for our friends, to do everything so that it leads to peace and mutual edification and to use our strengths, through Christ, where others are weak and to not please ourselves, accept one another as Jesus accepted us and to fight for unity at all times.

And the one I’ve found most empowering and convicting:

Philippians 2:3-5

Be free from pride-filled opinions, for they will only harm your cherished unity. Don’t allow self-promotion to hide in your hearts, but in authentic humility put others first and view others as more important than yourselves. Abandon every display of selfishness. Possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of your own interests. And consider the example that Jesus, the Anointed One, has set before us. Let his mindset become your motivation.

In China (March), God had already told me I would be going back out on the mission field, but I wasn’t sure if it was with World Race or not for another month or so. God had been showing me that my gifts serve the church BEST with internal ministry and I felt conflicted being on a mission trip and wondering how that all truly comes together. But I think back to the reason I was called to come out here in the first place and it was all about community, so it wasn’t all that shocking.

My fundraising bar has been updated to the new amount I need to support raise: $5,500.

I will be going to

  • Australia
  • Indonesia
  • India
  • Nepal

As an alumni team lead, I will be with ONE team for the duration of those four countries to help with adjusting to life on the field, establishing healthy team norms and rhythms and just take all the wisdom from this year and pour it out.

I’m so passionate about internal ministry now that I couldn’t be more thrilled that God is allowing me to step back in with another squad, get to know some amazing people chasing HARD after Jesus and wanting to bring kingdom.

I want you to ask me questions, inquire about what else this means, what this will look like, etc. I would love to freely give away everything from this year to anyone and everyone who wants it!

Pray about supporting me and joining in on my walk with Christ and this journey into another level of discipleship for my future team (:

Together we can knock that $5,500 because GOD PROVIDES.

I love all of you so very much.

I will be returning back to Dallas around the first week of December and will be home for a month, hopefully snagging a quick job so I can have some personal spending money as well, so any leads for that would be much appreciated.

WOW, parting words for now, Consider the verse in Philippians:

Look at your current community, who can you count as more important than yourself today?

We demonstrate our faith through love, so go out and show people what that means today.

My team is currently in Lebanon working with refugees from war-torn countries in the Middle East, be praying for our unity, for our love and for endless energy to meet and get to know these people!
